Otvaranju su prisustvovali Nebojša Bradić, Bisera Veletanlić, Isidora Bjelica i Nebojša Pajkić, Biljana Cincarević, Ivana Zarić, Neda Todorović i Zdravko Šotra, Branislav i Nina Lečić, Cile Marinković i mnogi drugi.
„New Moment galerija, poput kafea Els Quatre Gats nekada, danas okuplja i promoviše kreativne ideje i pojedince koji menjaju svet. Izložba Cuatro gatos predstavlja još jedan poklon New Moment galerije gradu Beogradu i njegovoj kulturnoj sceni”, izjavio je Lazar Sakan, vlasnik New Moment agencije.

An unprecedented interest by the public characterized the opening of the exposition of the four Greatest Spanish painters: Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies, called “Cuatro Gatos” (Four Cats), which took place on Tuesday, September the 10th at the “New Moment” Idea Gallery.
In this exposition, which lasted until October the 10th, there were shown for the first time in Belgrade over 50 original graphic works by these painters. The exposition was named after the coffee shop “Els Quatre Gats” from Barcelona, which is famous for the fact that it was the gathering place of the greatest artists from the beginning of the XX century, especially Picasso. The well-known coffee shop was opened in 1897 and it is considered to be the center of modernism in the Catalonian capital.
“Cuatro gatos” presents prints as the means of expression of the most important modern-age artists. The selection of works was carried out by the collectors Lazar and Živa Vujić from Ljubljana, who are the owners of all the prints. The four artists were very fruitful and produced very important graphic works. Due to the technology used in the creation of prints, which induces the artist to discipline and carefully weighed artistic gestures, prints are particularly interesting for viewers, because they present the character of the artist in a purified way. More exactly, the artist applies his most personal signature on the print plate or the lithographic stone, because every incision on the print plate or every stroke on the lithographic stone is irreversible and eternal at once, just as God’s signature in His moment of purest creative tension.
The exposition presents works from Picasso’s late years, when the old man used the print plate for the daily recording of his meditation on the eternal beauty of the feminine body and eros.
The opening was attended by Nebojša Bradić, Bisera Veletanlić, Isidora Bjelica i Nebojša Pajkić, Biljana Cincarević, Ivana Zarić, Neda Todorović and Zdravko Šotra, Branislav and Nina Lečić, Cile Marinković and many others.
Nowadays, “New Moment” Gallery gathers and promotes creative ideas and individuals that change the world, just as “Els Quatre Gats” did once. The Gallery has hosted the works of some of the greatest national and foreign artists, including Helmut Newton, Tom Phillips, ADC NY. The exposition “Los Cuatro Gatos” represents one more gift from “New Moment” Gallery to the city of Belgrade and its cultural scene” – said Lazar Sakan, owner of New Moment agency.
